Meet your instructor, David Morris. A distinguished former British Royal Navy warship driving Officer and yacht captain, David qualified for the Royal Yachting Association Yachtmaster Offshore Power and Sail Captain’s license in 1988. His first captaincy was established that same year in Spain, commanding a 90-foot yacht through critical maritime routes. Following his enlistment in the Royal Navy in 1991, David graduated from Britannia Royal Naval College where he completed extensive maritime training across a range of deployments. He received specialized navigator training with commendable performance in Collision (Navigation) Rules examinations. Serving as Officer of the Watch on multiple vessels, David culminated his career as Senior Bridge Watchkeeping Officer aboard HMS Newcastle, navigating through some of the world’s busiest shipping lanes while rigorously maintaining proficiency through monthly written examinations on Collision Rules.
